Find the ratio of the sides
5/4 = ?
Alright, this triangle is a 3:4:5 triangle, so it's ratio needs to be continuous with the answer. Which one of the given triangles has a ratio that can be multiplied by something to get the 3:4:5 triangle?
1.25
Ratio of the sides like @igreen said
Yes..now find the ratios of the same 2 sides for the other 4 triangles in your options. 2.5/2 = ? 4/3 = ? 3/2 = ? 3.5/2.5 = ? Whichever one also equals 1.25 is your answer.
i got option b
compare the original triangle with the first options and see what is the ratio of the sides
How did you get that? 4/3 does not equal 1.25
ok let go with be that you choose you the following ratios 3/2 4/3 5/4 are these ratios equal?
sorry for the sloppy language there*
1.5, 1.33, 1.25
so are they equal that's the question?
in fact you can see that they are not equal, correct?
ya
so that triangle in option b is not a similar triangle to the original one
If two triangles are similar then one is the scale factor of the other that's why we are asking you are the ratios equal or not
try all other triangles and see for yourself
Im confused
