OpenStudy (canada907cat):

Find an equation to the line tangent to y = 5 + |x – 2| at the coordinate (2, 5).

OpenStudy (canada907cat):

I computed that f'(x) is x-2/|x-2| and f'(2)=DNE. Is this correct?

OpenStudy (canada907cat):

@zepdrix

OpenStudy (saksh1998):

first u have to break the equation for x>2 and x<2 then find derivative then find slope tangent has slope perpendicular so it would be negative reciprocal of the derivative at 2,5 then use slope point form to find the equation

OpenStudy (saksh1998):

fan and medal

OpenStudy (canada907cat):

That did not help me what so ever. Was my initial assumption correct or not.
