So we know that it takes Audrey `1/5 of an hour` lets find out how much `1/5` is in one hour...We know that there are 60 minutes in one hour...So we would multiply `1/5 by 60` to find how many minutes 1/5 is.... \(\huge{\frac{1}{5}\times 60 \rightarrow \frac{60}{5}=?}\)

KjSaif (kjsaif):

12

KjSaif (kjsaif):

@563blackghost

KjSaif (kjsaif):

it's 12

563blackghost (563blackghost):

Correct :) Now we need to times that number by 5 to get one entire hour so.... \(\huge{12 \times 5 = ?}\) Since we do this with `1\5` we will also do this with `1 3\5` :) \(\huge{1\frac{3}{5} \times 5 = ?}\) This will give you how much he paints in one hour :D

KjSaif (kjsaif):

12 x 5 is 60

KjSaif (kjsaif):

and 1 3/5 x 5 = 8

563blackghost (563blackghost):

Correct :) So Audrey paints the wood at a rate of `8` square feet per hour ^^

KjSaif (kjsaif):

Thanks :) @563blackghost
