OpenStudy (babyslapmafro):

Please help me get started on the following problem. Expand the following into partial fractions and then find the inverse Laplace (click to see).

OpenStudy (babyslapmafro):

\[\frac{ 2s+3 }{ s ^{2}+2s+5 }\]

OpenStudy (3mar):

First of all: this denominator could not be factorized. Can you factorize it?

OpenStudy (3mar):

I mean that it has no real roots/factors. Are you familiar with partial fractions with imaginary denominators?

OpenStudy (babyslapmafro):

I got it...solved it by completing the square of the denominator
