Your teacher is right. When you write an introductory paragraph to a persuasive essay. you need to firmly take a position and defend it. Not just "many people" "some people" "others". We need to know what you think. In my persuasive essays, I start with a scenario, slam them with a sense of the justice of my position, declare that position, and then defend it in my body paragraphs.
