OpenStudy (eiliasmctalun):

Which of the following does not belong in a body paragraph? Two pieces of evidence Analysis Hooks A topic sentence @wwhitlock

OpenStudy (wwhitlock):

your hooks go in the intro. If you don't hook them, they will never get to the body.

OpenStudy (eiliasmctalun):

So hooks? I tried that but it said i was wrong

OpenStudy (eiliasmctalun):

I thought maybe two pieces of evidence but I'm really unsure. I think i know then it says im wrong. i lost my trust in myself

OpenStudy (wwhitlock):

Go with analysis. I really don't like the way they are trying to teach writing.

OpenStudy (eiliasmctalun):

I don't either. It seems illogical

OpenStudy (eiliasmctalun):

Do you have time for three more?

OpenStudy (wwhitlock):

I'll give it a shot

OpenStudy (eiliasmctalun):

Okay. the next one is: You're writing the conclusion to an essay. What should you begin with? A hook Restating your thesis Restating your topic sentences A summary or overview. I belive its summary/overview

OpenStudy (wwhitlock):

yes sum/overview

OpenStudy (eiliasmctalun):

Okay(: now it's Which of the following is not included in a piece of evidence? Repeating your thesis Citing your source parenthetically Mentioning a fact or quoting an author or source before the quote Analysis

OpenStudy (wwhitlock):

you thesis is not evidence. repeated or not.

OpenStudy (eiliasmctalun):

That's what i thought too. Now it's What is the first thing you should do when you start a research project? Choose a thesis Write your introduction Ask a librarian for help Create a resources/links document

OpenStudy (eiliasmctalun):

I think it's create a resurce and link documents

OpenStudy (wwhitlock):

Yes

OpenStudy (eiliasmctalun):

Okay I got a 40. I don't understand this way of writing.

OpenStudy (eiliasmctalun):

Everything I think is right seems to be wrong. I'm really unsure about myself now

OpenStudy (wwhitlock):

So the whole thing resulted in you having less confidence as a writer. I'd shoot somebody if I knew who. It makes no sense to answer multiple choice questions about writing. The best way to learn to write is to write. Do you have to re take this thing or can you walk away from it?

OpenStudy (eiliasmctalun):

I have to. It's been more then 5 weeks and if i drop it does on my grade

OpenStudy (eiliasmctalun):

I am stuck. It's whatever. You tried your best and I really appreciate it. thank you so much.

OpenStudy (wwhitlock):

OK, sorry about that. My best advice is to reread the material and catch as much of their lingo as possible. Just get though it. Nobody really writes the way the teach the 5 paragraph essay, except high school students who are forced to do it. If you need help when you have an actual writing assignment, feel free to tag me.

OpenStudy (eiliasmctalun):

Okay I will. Thank you very much

OpenStudy (klark):

Each body paragraph will have the same basic structure. Start by writing down one of your main ideas, in sentence form. If your main idea is "reduces freeway congestion," you might say this: Public transportation reduces freeway congestion. Next, write down each of your supporting points for that main idea, but leave four or five lines in between each point. In the space under each point, write down some elaboration for that point. Elaboration can be further description or explanation or discussion. Supporting Point Commuters appreciate the cost savings of taking public transportation rather than driving. Elaboration Less driving time means less maintenance expense, such as oil changes. Of course, less driving time means savings on gasoline as well. In many cases, these savings amount to more than the cost of riding public transportation. If you wish, include a summary sentence for each paragraph. This is not generally needed, however, and such sentences have a tendency to sound stilted, so be cautious about using them. And, you know, after I would recommend you to ask specialists to help you. I've personally used Supreme essay service. Those guys do a great job. So you can give them a try.

OpenStudy (otherworldly):

@wwhitlock was giving you the wrong answers well you were part of the deciding factor so ur end grade was........@EiliasMcTalun

OpenStudy (daddysbabygirl):

B is the correct answer... You always need a hook and evidence and make sure you have a topic sentence which will help you make your hook

OpenStudy (daddysbabygirl):

Your second answer is restating the the thesis

OpenStudy (daddysbabygirl):

your third question is repeating your thesis
