Victoria is 4 years older than her neighbor. The sum of their ages is no more than 14 years. Write an inequality that can be used to represent this situation in the first box, where x represents Victoria's neighbor's age.
Victoria age let V V = 4+x V+4+x <= 14 no more than can being equal 14
im confused @jhonyy9
Agreed with Jhony It is indeed v+ 4 + x less than or equal ti 14
those are the answers. its a multiple choice
It is the last one
I am a bit wondering why would they name 2 different variables as x
Anyway the point of this question is for you to recognize what they meant when they said "less than or equal to" and when they said "Victoria is 4 years older than the neighbor" When we say older then it is normally adding to that prime age
bc. in the text of this exercise is wrote that the neighbor age not x and Victoria is older by 4 years than x so Victoria age is x+4 and her neighbor age is x hope is cleary now
noted x what mean signed x the neighbor age - sorry i wrote above not x what wann being noted,signed
If it is not x then it has to be known because the variable x is already positioned for Victoria's neighbor But what about Victoria's unknown value "variable" we can't also call it x
That's why I would say the question is a bit confusing
