OpenStudy (demetrius_76):

What is the correct scientific notation for 724,000,000,000

OpenStudy (autumn9913):

7.24 x 1011

OpenStudy (sapphiremoon):

7.24 x10^11 or 7.24 x 10**11 or something like that is the way we write it when we can't do superscripts, otherwise it's confusing.

OpenStudy (osprey):

Most things are confusing in science ... ?

OpenStudy (sapphiremoon):

@osprey Not if you have the right teacher... If I watch Walter Lewin's lectures in physics or Crash Course in Chemistry, it really clears up any questions I have. (Note: Crash Course isn't designed to teach you anything, it's supposed to work after you've been taught the concepts, and the teaching style isn't for everyone.)
