OpenStudy (steve816):

Is this true? cos(xy) = cos(x)*cos(y) Is there a trigonometric identity for cos(xy)?

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

I'm not aware of one. cos(xy) = cos(x)*cos(y) is false, eg. for x=0, y=pi/2.

OpenStudy (steve816):

Alright, thanks for clearing things up.
