Help someone please :)

OpenStudy (wonderwomen):

what did u need help with?

OpenStudy (ivitt):

What is this?

OpenStudy (ivitt):

@Google

OpenStudy (vheah):

are there any instructions that come with it or is that the only thing shown?

OpenStudy (ivitt):

Dis is the rest of it

OpenStudy (vheah):

Oh so basically u have to match those phrases to the equation Horizontal shifts: So when your equation is translating to the LEFT you're adding your variable x or y inside the parentheses Ex: (x+3) is translating to the left three times. When your equation is translating to the RIGHT, you're subtracting your variable x inside the parentheses: EX: (x-3) is translating to the right three times Vertical Shifts: When your equation is being added together W/O parentheses that means your x is being translated upwards. EX: x+3 When your equation is being subtracted together w/o parentheses that means your x is being translated downwards. EX: x-3 for the first one that you have: x+3,y your x is being translated what direction? left, right, up, or down?

OpenStudy (vheah):

Oh and how many boxes can u place in the blank box? does it expand once you place a box in?

OpenStudy (ivitt):

Just one box

OpenStudy (ivitt):

No it doesn't expand

OpenStudy (vheah):

Okay

OpenStudy (vheah):

So for the first on you're translating up 3 times right x+3, y nothing is going on with y because it remains positive, and is not added, subtracted, or multiplied to anything. for the second one we got -x and -y. When you have any number less than 0 that gives a - value, that means your graph is reflecting across the x and the y axis.
