Fan + Medal June's father is 6 times as old as June. The sum of their ages is no less than 77. Find an inequality that can be used to represent this situation, where x represents Julio's age. What is the youngest age Julio can be in the second box?

OpenStudy (whovianchick):

Ok, so Julio is x, and his father is f. Set up the equations like this: f=6x (because his father is 6 times as old) and f+x≥77 (because their ages are 77 or older put together) Next, we substitute 6x for f in the second equation, since we know they mean the same thing. 6x+x≥77 Combine like terms: 7x≥77 And divide both sides by 7: x≥11 And that's your inequality! The youngest Julio could possibly be is 11, or older.

Wow!!! You really are the best!! Thanks soo so so much, you deserve this medal <3
