I had to make a survey where I asked a couple of questions, the survey takers had the choice of answering; Strongly Agree (SA), Agree (A), Neutral or Cannot Say (?), Disagree (D), and Strongly Disagree (SD). I made a chart to keep track of each vote. 
  After I got the survey results, I had to answer a few questions.  Here is the question I need help with:

"According to your survey, what are the three most important global issues? Why do you think your survey takers may have selected these?"  
^ According to my survey the three issues that had the most (SA) and (A) were: Hunger, stereotypes/racism, and human rights abuse. 
 I don't know how to answer "Why do you think your survey takers may have selected these" Please help!

Just say that these are very strong issues, and since they are very known and obvious, and yet are not addressed enough, they are very sensitive topics also. People who have a heart and a sense of concern for fellow humans will see these as some of the biggest problems, because they are clearly sad and painful.

Just paraphrase or expand this, and you should have a good answer.  :)

Just say that the main issues are major issues that need to be addressed.
