Help me find the domain??

OpenStudy (rosepetalingg):

Hey guys. I need help finding the domain of function x+4/x+3

OpenStudy (rosepetalingg):

@imqwerty @ganeshie8

OpenStudy (1davey29):

Being as domain should be all possible x values, the domain would be any number except -3, as that would make the bottom equal 0, which is undefined. This means the domain is (-infinity,-3) U (-3,infinity), which is all real numbers except -3.

OpenStudy (danjs):

is that f(x) = (x + 4) / (x + 3)

OpenStudy (rosepetalingg):

Thank you very much @1davey29 :)

OpenStudy (danjs):

or as you wrote it... \[f(x)=x+\frac{ 4 }{ x }+3\]

OpenStudy (rosepetalingg):

Actually that was wrong :( it was [-4,-3)U(-3, infinity)

OpenStudy (1davey29):

Sorry about that. Forgot it would stop being a function after -4.
