Will give out medal for help! Write the equation in function notation. Explain what the graph of the function represents. Y = 2x - 490 Slope = 2 Y-intercept = (0,490)

OpenStudy (1davey29):

Function notation simply means change the Y to f(x), so f(x)=2x-490 Does this problem come with any units or context?

OpenStudy (danjs):

The 490 is negative, the y-intercept is (0 , -490)

OpenStudy (danjs):

i guess just say it is a line with slope 2 through point (0,-490)

OpenStudy (rollfaceblah):

Thank you I guess i'll just put that it only says Write the equation in function notation. Explain what the graph of the function represents. Be sure to use complete sentences. Y = 2x - 490
