Slavery, conquering, and forced labor. Basically the main factor that made relations between the Europeans and Native Americans worse was the Europeans taking advantage of the Native Americans. Since the native Americans didn't have as advanced weaponry , war tactics, and technology as the Europeans did they were easy targets to be oppressed and used as slaves. The Native Americans suffered harsh labor, beatings, rape, starvation and much more from their European masters. The Europeans also pillaged their land by force. Due to this the Europeans and Native Americans had a dark relationship towards each other for many years.
