I really think OS needs a "Do not Disturb" button that we can choose to turn on/off...

Especially when you're a high ranking member (SS), which apparently means it's okay for people to mass/spam tag you to get help. ლ(ಠ益ಠლ

Well you can change your notification settings in settings->Account settings. You change who can mention you in post and message you etc, if this helps ;D

But overall, great idea :D

It has been suggested before (for like years) but one thing that came to mind since they probably won't ever add this feature is the following:
You can change your profile picture to a Do Not Disturb sign and if everyone uses the same profile picture, then others will get the point.

Similar thing for AFK and all xD

If this were implemented, I would guess that all the people that use OS to chat would like this X'D

Anyways, I guess if a feature like that were clearly visible, then new users may feel a bit discouraged to ask for help, which isn't what this site would support...it's possible that that's why this is an old idea that hasn't been taken into account and worked with.

As for spam taggers, I would say to just message the user about it and how it's against the rules. :)

They have this same feature on a thing called Slack. Slack is an all-purpose thing but is commonly known to be used as a business site. Like I said just a few seconds ago, Slack is an all-purpose thing. I use it for school (you can use it for when, or if OpenStudy gets shutdown, or is closed for update).


All you gotta do to join an already made slack team, is just ask me and then i will go through the rest with you in a pm and then you can go make the rest of your account! This would be a nice feature to put on OS because then our pms would be turned off, our notifications will be turned off, and our pf could also, be turned off!

If you had this feature it should be at the bottom of the notifications and message icon. The attached files are where I mean they should go! If you want to make some changes you can. If you dont like the idea of where they should go, you can change it, moderators.
