OpenStudy (dragonemperor):

Can someone please help me understand what ∈ stands for? And if possible give a simple example so I can understand?

Parth (parthkohli):

It stands for "is an element of". If \(x\) is a member/element of a set \(A\), then the relation between \(x\) and \(A\) is represented by \(x \in A\). For example, \(23 \in \mathbb {N}\) where \(\mathbb {N}\) is the set of natural numbers.

OpenStudy (dragonemperor):

so if like N has (22, 23, 24) it would be 23∈N

Parth (parthkohli):

Yeah haha

OpenStudy (dragonemperor):

Oh well that's pretty simple. Thank you so much for you help!
