PLEASE HELP!!! Solve for x. 7x=2x−357x=2x−35 A. 7 B. 5 C. −5 D. −7 I'm thinking D

OpenStudy (qwertty123):

You can not solve this equation...Your input has more than one equals sign. Do you want to solve a system of equations?

OpenStudy (cutestgirlaround):

sorry I screwed up its 7x=2x−35

OpenStudy (cutestgirlaround):

@Qwertty123

OpenStudy (qwertty123):

okay so... Subtract 2x from both sides. 7x−2x=2x−35−2x 5x=−35

OpenStudy (qwertty123):

then... Divide both sides by 5. And you get?

OpenStudy (cutestgirlaround):

so then it would be -7

OpenStudy (qwertty123):

BINGO! Nice work

OpenStudy (cutestgirlaround):

thanks so much!!! your such a great help!!! :-D

OpenStudy (qwertty123):
