correct????

OpenStudy (quickstudent):

question attached. my answer: 4x + (2x - 14) + (2x + 36.4) + (4x + 10) + 106.2 = 360 (4x + 2x + 2x + 4x) + (−14 + 36.4 + 10 + 106.2) = 360 12x + 138.6 = 360 12x + 138.6 − 138.6 = 360 − 138.6 12x = 221.4 12x/12 = 221.4/12 x = 18.45

OpenStudy (jackthegreatest):

you have the right equation set up, i am trying your computation...

OpenStudy (jackthegreatest):

*checking

OpenStudy (jackthegreatest):

yep correct

OpenStudy (mathmale):

You have found an x-value, a possible "solution." Why not check it yourself by substituting this value for x into all of the expressions for angles in the original problem? If the angles add up to 360 degrees, you'll know you're right. Please, think of ways to check your own work; doing so would make you that much more independent.

OpenStudy (welshfella):

yes looks good

OpenStudy (welshfella):

yes I agree with mathmale.

I know but I don't have time now...............................
