The set of transformations Let's test point A( -3,4) and point A'(-2,-3) There has been a translation for sure because the coordinates have changed. But before the translation there has been a reflection across the x axis such that (x,y) --> (x,-y) So in the case of point A(-3,4) --> (-3,-4) and then a translation of (x +1, y +1) Such that (-3,-4) --> ( -3 +1, -4+1) --> (-2,-3) Which means we are right A reflection across the x axis and a translation of (x+1, y+1) Make sense?
