OS didn't die because of Brainly's acquisition of OpenStudy. OS was dying when users couldn't access the site due to lag. When the site was offline for an entire day or two. Other technical and social issues that are quite extensive. Reasons like those lead to the decline of this website, certainly not Preetha's forced hand.

Please, let's spend some of your pent-up disappointments making positive suggestions for the improvement of OpenStudy. These negative comments are not going to encourage others to use OpenStudy. It would seem to me that you'd want to talk and act in ways that would encourage others to do so.

@mathmale it seems like an inevitable event that Brainly will close OS. When a user clicks on an OpenStudy link via the Google search engine, they are greeted by a Brainly advertisement, not OpenStudy material. They want to build their user base, using OS like a piggyback ride to get there.

You do NOT have all the facts. What you say here sounds more like conjecture to me. Have you actually signed into Brainly to compare its coverage with that of OpenStudy? I would worry only if the two coverages are pretty much the same. If they are different, why would Brainly close OpenStudy?

Why would they keep OpenStudy alive? It is not the powerful community it once was. I've been here for over five years and I've never seen it this slow. Spending money on OpenStudy upkeep when they are aren't fixing bugs, or just causing more(referring to smart scores not loading).

I only come here..cuz i know some users answer honestly..they're not just giving direct answers, but they're also explaining.

I agree as well. I love OS due to the fact that some users answer honestly as well with great explanation on how to understand the problem they are stuck on :) Even when Im stuck I always get a conformation that my question is answered right or wrong, or they give me a clear explanation instead of a direct answer.
