OpenStudy (buckybarnes):

Two lines intersect at a point. The vertical angles formed are supplementary. What is the measure of each of the angles?

OpenStudy (buckybarnes):

@563blackghost

563blackghost (563blackghost):

The angles are supplementary meaning that they both form a 180 degree angle. Now according to the Vertical Angle Theorem two angles that are vertical are congruent....so we have this equation... \(\huge{2x=180}\) x represents the angle of the two since they are congruent :) Simplify ;)

OpenStudy (buckybarnes):

So both are 90?

OpenStudy (buckybarnes):

I'm still confused what would be the two angles measures?

OpenStudy (buckybarnes):

@563blackghost

563blackghost (563blackghost):

Yes they are both 90 :)

OpenStudy (buckybarnes):

Thank you!!

563blackghost (563blackghost):

np :)
