HELP ASAP PLEASE:::

OpenStudy (iwanttogotostanford):

QUESRION: The position of an object at time t is given by s(t) = -2 - 6t. Find the instantaneous velocity at t = 2 by finding the derivative. SO FAR I HAVE THIS: First off, we need to find the derivative of -2-6t which is -6.

OpenStudy (iwanttogotostanford):

@Kevin please help

OpenStudy (kevin):

I'm confused about this question too.. I mean we already found the derivative is -6 which means we cannot plug 'times' value in it. So, maybe the answer is -6

OpenStudy (kevin):

@zepdrix pls help this one

OpenStudy (iwanttogotostanford):

yeah i don't get it much either...

OpenStudy (iwanttogotostanford):

@Nnesha ^^^

OpenStudy (welshfella):

the answer is -6. the equation is linear so the slope ( = velocity) is constant at all times.
