OpenStudy (bella.ellap):

When you write the function y = 2x + 10 as f(x) = 2x + 10, you are using _________. What is the blank space and why?

OpenStudy (sapphiremoon):

Function notation, perhaps? f(x) is saying "what happens when you apply this function to x" which could also be replaced by f(1) or f(2) or f(3 billion). y = mx + b is slope-intercept form, so that would be a contrast to the function notation.
