loveneenah put that in calculator and then you need to move the decimal place over places to the left. Each time you move it you increase the 10 to a power by 1.

When we're dividing in scientific notation, it's not quite as complicated as adding and subtracting, we don't even have to change bases.
$$14.46 \times 10^{8} \div 602.5 \times 10^{2}$$
$$(14.46 \div 602.5) \times (10^{8} \div 10^{2})$$
$$0.024 \times 10 ^{8-2} = 0.024 \times 10^{6} = 2.4 \times 10^3$$
or 24, 000. Make sense?

When you have something written in scientific notation, to convert it to standard form, all you have to do is move the decimal point over that many spaces.
