OpenStudy (sagewilson):

Simplify the expression where possible. (-4x 2) 2 __ __ __ __

OpenStudy (madangerzone):

\[(−4x^2)*(−4x^2)\] And yo should get an answer

OpenStudy (sagewilson):

the -4 times the -4 would give me 16. I'm assuming my answer would be 16^4?

OpenStudy (madangerzone):

Correct.

OpenStudy (madangerzone):

But only \[16x^4\]

OpenStudy (will.h):

if this is your expression \[(-4x^2)^2\] Then @madangerzone way is correct

OpenStudy (sagewilson):

yeah, I forgot the x.

OpenStudy (sagewilson):

OpenStudy (madangerzone):
