OpenStudy (moldybubblegum11):

I NEED HELP WITH ROTATING SHAPES. ;-;

OpenStudy (moldybubblegum11):

OpenStudy (moldybubblegum11):

could anyone help with this? i have an important exam coming up and i cant figure this out. ;-;

OpenStudy (otherworldly):

the question is a bit covered "how far will c be from point ...." i can't seem to figure out what the last part is

OpenStudy (moldybubblegum11):

I don't need a complete explanation, just a quick explanation so i can put it into my own words.

OpenStudy (moldybubblegum11):

Its asking how far point c will be from point p after the shape is rotated

OpenStudy (sapphiremoon):

If triangle ABC is rotated 90 degrees clockwise about a point, we can reassemble the triangle in that position. Point B is 4 units to the left of P. after a 90 degree counterclockwise rotation, it's 4 units down from P. C is 7 to the left, that makes it 7 units down. Point A is 5 to the left and 5 up, then it will be 5 down and 5 to the left of P. But you really only need to know that C is still 7 units away.

OpenStudy (moldybubblegum11):

wow... thanks. @SapphireMoon :D

OpenStudy (otherworldly):

point B would be 4 units onto of P not to the left of it

OpenStudy (otherworldly):

on top*

OpenStudy (otherworldly):

but the overall answer would be 7 units

OpenStudy (sapphiremoon):

It starts to the left and ends down. In the first sentence it should say counterclockwise (that was the question, sorry).
