OpenStudy (ovidia):

find the x-intercepts of the parabola with vertex (-1,-16) and y-intercept (0,-15). write your answer in this form: (x1,y1),(x2,y2). if necessary, round to the nearest hundredth

OpenStudy (retireed):

That is a tricky question and I did not know how to solve it, properly or logically so I quasi cheated using a graphical calculator. And I still don't know how to do it correctly, but if you logically think that the y-intercept is (0,-15) that means when x is zero y = -15. What factors when multiplied together = -15 ??? in this form y = (x+___)(x-_____)
