OpenStudy (leyla.tas123):

Suppose a researcher tests a new method of pasteurization on a strain of bacteria in his laboratory. If the bacteria are killed at a rate of 8^9 per sec, how many bacteria would be killed after 8^2 sec?

OpenStudy (retireed):

This is easier than it looks... killed/second times seconds it is just a rate times time problem

OpenStudy (leyla.tas123):

so, do i subtract the exponents? and keep the base, right?

OpenStudy (retireed):

I think I was wrong Now I am not sure.... I need to think for a second....

OpenStudy (leyla.tas123):

ok take your time thank you for your hlp

OpenStudy (retireed):

I think this is right ..... bases the same and add the exponent |dw:1475607595414:dw|
