Hammurabi’s Code, written about 1750 B.C., contained 282 laws that cover a range of public and private matters. Read the following lows and answer the accompanying questions.
Vocabulary: Patrician = Wealthy male Plebian = Commoner (poor person)
Law 200: “If a patrician has knocked out the tooth of a man that is his equal, his tooth will be knocked out.”
