OpenStudy (braindead):

A man has type AB blood and his child has type B blood. What are all of the possible blood types of the child's mother?

OpenStudy (otherworldly):

type B blood

OpenStudy (braindead):

I feel like type B is an obvious choice, but I feel as if the question is implying that there are more options as well. I was thinking AB and B, but I do not know how to show my work.

zepdrix (zepdrix):

AB and B could certainly produce a B child, yes :) Any others?

zepdrix (zepdrix):

Hmm

OpenStudy (braindead):

The only other blood type is O, and I'm not sure how that works out.

OpenStudy (otherworldly):

I'm thinking AB and B too

zepdrix (zepdrix):

Ya turns out it's A, B, AB, O are the possibilities for the other parent. I don't remember how to do the chart though :\ hmm thinking..

OpenStudy (braindead):

A is an option too? That's intriguing and why I find this to be so difficult.

OpenStudy (otherworldly):

BO as well can be the mother

OpenStudy (braindead):

This unit is about punnet squares. Any way I can show my work with the punnet squares?

zepdrix (zepdrix):

That's what I'm trying to figure out :))

OpenStudy (braindead):

Alright, no rush it's just some homework. No time limit.

OpenStudy (otherworldly):

i read online it says that the mother can be B, BO, AB, AO, AA, A
