The idea of solving these problems is to 1. split into two or more regular figures. All of the examples can be split up into two rectangles. Area of a rectangle is width * height. 2. From the given dimensions, find the missing side lengths (in order to calculate the area of individual figures/rectangles). 3. Calculate the area of individual figures 4.
