@Sapphiremoon plz help

OpenStudy (loveneenah):

What is 4(x-2)=3(2y-1) in standard form?

OpenStudy (sapphiremoon):

To put an equation in standard form, just expand and simplify (don't solve for a particular variable). \[4(x-2) = 3(2y -1)\] Expand by multiplying t The numbers outside of the parens over the numbers inside: \[4x - 8 = 6y - 3\] Then move all of the numbers to the same side: \[4x - 6y - 8 + 3 = 0\] \[4x - 6y - 5 = 0\] Ta da!
