OpenStudy (narissa):

so do i divide that?

OpenStudy (johnjohn1085):

divide the turtle speed by 60 and then 60 again to get how fast he goes per secon bc you already know how fast the girl is going or multiply the girls speed by 60 then 60 again either way get you how fast each go

OpenStudy (welshfella):

i made a mistake 1 dm = 10 meters

OpenStudy (narissa):

1620

OpenStudy (welshfella):

what is that?

OpenStudy (narissa):

im confused

OpenStudy (welshfella):

First convert Km per hour to meters per second 27 KM/h = 27,000 m /h because there is 1000m in a km. Divide this by 3600 to give m / s (because there is 3600 seconds in an hour) so 27 km/h = 27000 / 3600 m / s Now convert 14 dm /s to m / s here we just divide by 10 because 1 m = 10 dm This comes to 1.40 m / s so the difference is (27,000 / 3600) - 1.40 work that out and you have the answer Note do the division in the paremtheses first

OpenStudy (narissa):

6.1

OpenStudy (welshfella):

thats correct 7.5 - 1.4 = 6.1 m/s
