Tranquility:

Hello wolfdanger, the easiest way to solve the rational equation is to find the least common multiple of (x^2 - 9), (x + 3), and (4x - 12) and to then multiply both sides by it. This will essentially get rid of our fractions and make it easier to solve. Can you find the least common multiple? Here's a hint: Factor x^2 - 9 and 4x - 12.
