SOURPATCH !!!
May I help?
Sure, yes please do.
With my pleasure!
For the first piece, "One number is 4 more than another" Name one number as x, and the other as y, then translate the sentence....
x4 - y
GREAT!
Can you do the same thing for the second piece? I think you can
Sorry! where is the equal sign in at this "x4 - y"??
=??? What it eual to?
No man Rearrange your equation.
Ok The first would be \[y=4x\]
ok?
And the second will be \[y^2-x^2=120\] Does it make sense?
Firstly, you should be convinced with them!
After you get the solution, just try them to make sure they are correct!
Think again
you know that y=4x and y^2 -x^2 = 120 substitute this value of 4x in place of y so what will get ?
yes these are these two numbers what is your question ?
what mean consecutive integers ?
the first let be x and the consecutive of x will be (x+1) right ?
and the sum of their squares equal 841 so x^2 +(x+1)^2 = 841 do you can solve it for x ?
for (x+1)^2 use formula (a+b)^2 = a^2 +2ab +b^2
@OtherWorldly your opinion about this please ?
@smartbrain please collaborate
it is (x+2) + (x+4)= 841
oh sorry that is consecutive odd/even integer it is (x+1) +(x+2) =841 and i do not think that is the answer
It was right. I used the formula @jhonyy9 wrote and the answer of 20, 21 are correct.
well then now u know not to always believe everyone online XD
good job not listening to me XD
ok. @smartbrain was my pleasure good luck bye bye
it was my pleasure teaching u the lesson of not trusting people with proof i guess @smartbrain good luck on the quiz or assignment u r doing good luck byyyye
oops i said good luck twice
