OpenStudy (dizzygypsy):

the sum of three consecutive integers is 36. Let x represent the least consecutive integer. 1- Write an equation that could be used to find the least consecutive integer. 2- What is the least consecutive integer?

OpenStudy (1davey29):

Using x as the smallest integer and being that consecutive just means it goes up by 1, you can use x+(x+1)+(x+2)=36, being that x+1 is the next integer after x and x+2 is the next integer after x+1. Using this equation, just solve for x to get your answer.

OpenStudy (dizzygypsy):

thank you! (:
