Hue is planning to run in a marathon to support her favorite charity. For each description, write both an equation and a related equation that could be used to solve the problem. Then solve the problem. (a) Hue's sponsor plans to give $20 to her favorite charity for each mile she runs. How many miles would Hue need to run if she wants to earn $300 for her favorite charity? (b) Hue predicts that she may only be able to run 10 mi. She still wants to earn $300 for her favorite charity. How much money should she ask her sponsor to give her per mile in order to reach her goal?

(a) It says that she plats to give $20 to her favorite charity for each mile she runs. Which means in order to find out how many miles she has to run before reaching $300 we just need to divide 300/20 which equals 15. Meaning after 15 miles she will have earned $300 to give them! (b) If she only thinks she can make 10 miles then she needs to ask for at least $30 per mile so she still end with $300 for her favorite charity. Because 30*10=300 ♥ Hope it helps! ツ
