−8 ≥ −5x + 2 > −38 take out 2 from middle −8-2 ≥ −5x > −38-2 substract 2 on both sides -10≥ −5x > -40 -10/-5<x<-40/-5 divide by -5 either sides 2<x<8 remember inequality sign changes when you divide with negative number x<8 & x>2
The answer is \[ 2 \leq x < 8 \]
