OpenStudy (legomyego180):

OpenStudy (peachy1):

OpenStudy (legomyego180):

divide the top and bottom by the same number

OpenStudy (peachy1):

whats fivs?

OpenStudy (legomyego180):

For example you can divide 8 and 10 both by 2

OpenStudy (peachy1):

ok

OpenStudy (peachy1):

c 4/5

OpenStudy (legomyego180):

Correct. Im assuming this problem is wanting you to reduce. Notice if you divide one of the answers, 16/20 by two you will get your original question.

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Your 8/10 is not a formula; it's an expression. Please include the instructions that came with it. I'd bet that the instructions say, "Reduce to lowest terms."

OpenStudy (peachy1):

brb my mom needs me

OpenStudy (legomyego180):
