OpenStudy (ernesttaylor):

Marian is a sprinter, running short distances on the track team. She wants to find how fast she runs in miles per hour. What units should she start with?

OpenStudy (blazeryder):

Probably meters per second.

OpenStudy (princeharryyy):

meter per second is smallest as one would not run in centimeters

OpenStudy (princeharryyy):

order > meter/s than km/hr than miles/hr

OpenStudy (blazeryder):

You could also do feet per-second but you always want to stick with meters unless specified.

OpenStudy (princeharryyy):

feets are used in rarest of cases so stick with meters

OpenStudy (austin.l):

I would agree. All olympic standard tracks are in meters and all race types can be broken down into seconds regardless of race length. So, meters/second would be a rock solid start.
