If I want to say I finish work at 6:00 PM in French how would I say it…?

My attempted trial is written below. I’m not entirely confiden. I would appreciate an educated opinion. 

“Je finis travail á six hueres du soir.”

COULD WE SAY:

“Je fini de travailler…”?

Because I am using “I” I conjugated finir to the correct –ir ending (in the first example). This is relatively new to me so

if you would like to use "futur simple", "finir" conjugates as follows:
finirai
finiras
finira
finirons
finirez
finiront
choose the correct form for "je".

I suggest you purchase a copy of Besscherelle, the conjugation reference.  The blue one has comments in English, while the green one is completely in French, your choice.

If you are working on French homework, you could say "travail de français".
In French, time of the day is usually given in 24-hour clock, so 6pm will become "dix-huit heures".

Ahhh, ok! Thank you for responding. Additionally, thank you for the conjugation book recommendation. I was investigating a couple of them, but none of them stood out like Besscherelle. A worthy investment!

Actually most references can be found online (for free), including dictionaries, grammar, spelling, homonyms, etc.  Do some search online and you would find a whole lot of treasures buried on the net.  If you are ready to spend to have references that are independent of the Internet, there are lots of good ones available, depending on the level and topic.   If you have difficulty finding references on a particular topic, please post again, someone here will be more than glad to propose some.  It would help to know how long you have been learning French, so suitable recommendations can be made accordingly.
