Here it is- please help🙂

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

Look at the lines of g(x) and f(x). They basically look like the same line except that f(x) is on top of g(x). In other words, f(x) is translated by a certain number of units (k) which you would need to find out.

OpenStudy (brooke..help00):

6 units. Correct?

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

Nope.

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

I think you might have counted the units wrong.

OpenStudy (brooke..help00):

Oh 5, oops...

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

Yes

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

Since f(x) is on top of g(x) and you need to translate 5 units upwards, you have to add 5. But if it translated 5 units downwards, then you have to subtract 5.

OpenStudy (brooke..help00):

K=5?

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

Yes

OpenStudy (brooke..help00):

Thanks!
