9. (7q2)3 A. 21q^5 B. 21q^6 C. 343q^5 D. 343q^6 @Will.H

OpenStudy (will.h):

Mistake. I believe the expression is (7q^2)^3 correct?

OpenStudy (mellamokatie):

Yes sorry I coped it from a different question and forgot to do that

OpenStudy (mellamokatie):

*copyed

OpenStudy (will.h):

If yes then you will have to multiply the exponents to be simplified. Therefore: (7q^2 * 3) we multiply the exponents 3 and 2 So 3* 2 = 6 And now we will have to multiply 3 by the coefficient 7 3 * 7 = 21 So the new expression would be 21q^6 Hope that helps

OpenStudy (rcp031):

I guess it is (7q^2)^3 then 7^3*q^(2*3) is the answer

OpenStudy (will.h):

Made a mistake it should be 343q^6 For the coefficient we multiplied the exponents si we had 7^3 which means it is 343 not 21

OpenStudy (mellamokatie):

That makes perfect sense thank you so much!! I have one more.

OpenStudy (will.h):

You welcome.

OpenStudy (will.h):

Post it up and tag me

OpenStudy (rcp031):

So, My Guess was correct.

OpenStudy (will.h):

Yes

OpenStudy (will.h):

I will go off in about 5 mins. So if you need additional help now is the time to post

OpenStudy (mellamokatie):
