OpenStudy (quickstudent):

Is this correct? question: What is the solution of x - 2 < 4 and x + 4 > 7? my answer: x - 2 < 4 AND x + 4 > 7 x - 2 < 4 x - 2 + 2 < 4 + 2 x < 6 x + 4 > 7 x + 4 - 4 > 7 - 4 x > 3 The solutions were x < 6 and x > 3, so the solution to the AND inequality is 4 and 5.

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

Is there a reason you're only giving integer solutions...? x < 6 and x > 3 is equivalent to 3 < x < 6

OpenStudy (quickstudent):

Oh yes, thanks for reminding me of that notation. Yes, 3 < x < 6 would be the same thing.
