Algebra Can someone find the FRIKIN SLOPE XD? I think I'm just being dumb, answers are in back of the book, doesn't match http://prntscr.com/crrw6y
y1-y2/x1-x2
You choose any two points. For example (3, 86) and (7, 61) And then plug and chuck in to the formla \(\sf\Large Slope = \frac{\color{blue}{y_2}-\color{red}{y_1}}{\color{green}{x_2}-\color{purple}{x_1}}\) Where the two points are in the form: \(\sf\Large (\color{purple}{x_1},\color{red}{y_1})~and~(\color{green}{x_2},\color{blue}{y_2})\)
Yes, I get -6.25x
And the answer is -4.6x
Full answer is y=-4.6x+96... I got it right the first time but I went back and checked it and I have no clue what happened
You're not supposed to get any 'x' in the slope If you look at what I posted, I even tried to make it colorful so you can easily plug and chug
Yeah. 86-61 3-7
25/-4
Slope is -6.25
And that is the correct slope, your book has an incorrect slope maybe they meant to write -6 1/4 and not -6.4
Hmm... I'll ask my teacher then. Thanks. I guess I wasn't imagining things
No problem! ^-^
