OpenStudy (tatumlee):

Ordered pairs?

OpenStudy (tatumlee):

I know how to solve these, mostly. For this problem I would say (1,3) or (3,1) but which one is it? How do I know if x or y is 1, or if x or y is 3

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

(x,y) - every time. Never (y,x).

OpenStudy (tatumlee):

So would this one be (-2, -10) then? I am just checking to see if I have the hang of it.

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

It appears that you have it. Good work.

OpenStudy (tatumlee):

I plugged in -2 as x and -10 as y, I did 5x-2 which equaled -10... in case you wanted an explanation.

OpenStudy (tatumlee):

Thank you very much for the help! (:
