Which of the following is an equivalent form of the compound inequality −44 > −2x − 8 ≥ −8? −2x − 8 > −44 and −2x − 8 ≥ −8 −2x > −44 and −8 ≥ −8 −2x − 8 < −44 and −2x − 8 ≤ −8 −2x − 8 < −44 and −2x − 8 ≥ −8

OpenStudy (jackthegreatest):

your choice?

OpenStudy (firechild17):

@Frozen15

OpenStudy (firechild17):

@alivejeremy

OpenStudy (firechild17):

I think its either A and C

OpenStudy (jackthegreatest):

its D haha

OpenStudy (frozen15):

The equivalent form of the compound inequality −44 > −2x − 8 ≥ −8 is  D. D. −2x − 8 < −44 and −2x − 8 ≥ −8. In this case, we just have to divide the inequality into two parts such that two separate expressions are distinguished. This is a bit tricky among the choices.

OpenStudy (frozen15):

So A and C is incorrect. So read over my answer and see your answer
