Question

Is it me or is openstudy getting a little ghost town? I mean there's still people asking questions and others answering. Also users are still here but it seems like a lot of the subject and chat sections are forgotten. This site concerns me sometimes

Since the brainly buyout, allot of users have lost hope, and tbh, I can see why. So some of them quit the site, and never looked back.
It's not a ghost town, but it's turning into one. It's no where like it was back then atm, but we have to have hope, and the future of OS relies on us now.

As for the brainly buyout. I'm not sure what the deal was for OS and how it would help OS.
It doesn't look like it's helping at all, but oh well. Pure speculation on what brainly wants for the future of OS.

I heard about the connection or "buyout" with brainly & openstudy. Its not like how it used to be as you said. When I was taking a 8 month break. well 8 months ago it was ALIVE. But now its nearly a ghost town or is. Agree and ive seen accurate point of views on that , a lot of users took off with this site. Well could understand cause everyone has a life to live while we have it. Its sad to see os go a little on the "barley alive" side but as you also mentioned the future will rely on This site if there will be more people joining and staying. Not like a lot of users confirm to do. They make a account then ask one question then leave. I miss the people we had 8 months ago , I mean the ones who used to stay..

Lowkey why is it a bother with you? I just have concerns with this site. Its better to care to what happens to this site then say screw it. I mean its just a site but it still relies on others

@Lowkey.S People are going to keep asking because nothing is being done about it that much. There are truly people who wants to help OS grow, and make sure it doesn't get taken down, which I appreciate.

Nothing is being done. What if your favorite website got bought out by "said company" and they did really nothing visible to improve it? Wouldn't you like to know why?

There have been improvements, little ones, but nothing that out weighs the bad ones. When you google search OS questions, brainly come up. Which is HORRIBLE for this site, and for it to gain more users. So yes, people are going to ask why it's not as active anymore.

^ its true , very true. If you sit at one of the subjects looking at newbies asking questions . watch as soon as they get help they leave. ive seen it happen

sometimes them don't come back because they don't need help or someone such as friends, family, etc...
also Brainly said there going to make improvement to OpenStudy
they made zero improvement Brainly USED os have you seen brainly cause I have I was at Brainly before I even came here Brainly had literally zero person (not literally) but still, have you seen brainly page there like alive there doing like some thing like "Go answer 5 question in English and get 50 points" etc... they improved stronger!
For some reason why did preetha even sell it whats the point? when OS needs help? No one is online or have the time to program ambi and mod? We should do something about it.. the mod should do something about it

Nope. All feedback and opinions, concerns etc are welcome. I'm not sure why it would be. I'm glad to see you are concerned, another person who sees how awesome this site could be, once it gets back up and running of course.

It eventually might if people ask enough, and people are concerned enough. We need more people to actually concern and reach out to brainly. Discussions help, shoutouts etc help.

Preetha sold it because she didn't/doesn't have the money to run OS like she did.

The mods and Ambis shouldn't be the only ones doing it. ALL OF US. Should be trying to get this site back up and running.

@Lowkey.S asking questions also shows each person's opinion and concerns. It might not help full out but it might help show others that we will help this site grow and make it better than what it is now. Thanks @Zeronknight!!

but still have you not seen so many people asking question
and nothing has improve?
We should do something about it when new user comes and they ask new question and you know how the chat will say something like "someone asked a new question in History"
we should help and click on it and help and by encouraging them to come back even though some wont

it wont always help @lowkey.s we said that. People click on the "someone asked a question" , they help , courage them to come back 50/50 helps. Its not always accurate. we will just see what will happens. No one knows the future

Little things have improved but not major things. Asking questions may improve a minor bit. Encouraging people will improve minor or majorly depends. Users coming and staying will improve a lot. It will take time
