Write an equation for the problem and then solve. If the pep squad at a high school must pay the manufacturer $75 for the design of a pennant and $3 per pennant made, write an expression that represents the total the the school must pay to have q pennants made.

OpenStudy (jackthegreatest):

let q = # of pennants Total cost = 3q + 75

OpenStudy (kmullis6):

so what goes in for the total cost is what I'm not fully understanding

OpenStudy (jackthegreatest):

you can replace total cost with some letter, like C or something

OpenStudy (jackthegreatest):

so: C = 3q + 75

OpenStudy (kmullis6):

oh ok, so does it just stay like that as the answer?

OpenStudy (jackthegreatest):

yep

OpenStudy (jackthegreatest):

based on what you posted

OpenStudy (kmullis6):

thanks!!
